Ovulation stimulation is a process performed in women partner who has an irregular menstrual cycle or in cases when no egg is released during the cycle. The procedure involves the administration of ovary stimulation drugs to produce and release multiple mature and healthy eggs during the ovulation cycle. Ovulation stimulation medications trigger the follicle to produce and release one or more healthy eggs during the ovulation phase. During the treatment phase, ultrasound scans and blood tests are performed to collect the status on the size and time release of eggs during ovulation.
Egg retrieval
When the mature eggs are released during ovulation, they are retrieved from the tubes through a minor surgical procedure and are preserved in a specially prepared sterile medium until use.
Insemination and Fertilization
Next phase of treatment involves the introduction of sperms into the egg containing medium. For this, a sperm sample is obtained from the male partner is used. The collected sperm sample is washed and centrifuged to make a concentrated solution of motile viable sperms. The sperms are mixed with eggs in a sterile medium with adequate hormone levels to facilitate the fertilization of egg and sperm to form an embryo.
Embryo Transfer and implantation
